Human empowerment through education, training and community engagement programs in Africa.

What we do?

The Institute for African Disease Surveillance and Human Empowerment Limited (AFRISHEALTH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare systems and human welfare across Africa.

  • We focus on disease surveillance, which involves monitoring, detecting, and responding to health threats in African communities.
  • We also emphasize human empowerment through education, training, and community engagement programs.

AFRISHEALTH aims to play a crucial role in strengthening health systems and improving the quality of life for people in Africa through its comprehensive approach to disease surveillance and human empowerment.

This is through disease surveillance, health education and promotion, capacity building, research and innovation and community empowerment.

Our main objectives.

To create a healthier and high quality of life for underprivileged or at risk youths, women and children.

To empower individuals and groups of people with the skills they need to take initiative, make decisions for themselves and solve complex problems.

To work in collaboration with line Ministries of Health and governments to develop culturally and gender sensitive surveillance tools and methods to detect, prevent, and monitor disease outbreaks.

To Investigate the most effective implementation strategies for successfully controlling epidemics in Africa.

To strengthen local data systems by investing in collaboration, knowledge and innovation.

AFRISHEALTH is actively engaged in the operations and initiatives of extraterritorial organizations and bodies. The organization plays a pivotal role in facilitating and coordinating activities that transcend the African continent’s boundaries.

By focusing on extraterritorial endeavors, AFRISHEALTH demonstrates a commitment to addressing continental challenges and promoting international collaboration. This strategic approach allows AFRISHEALTH to contribute to initiatives that have far-reaching impacts, transcending geopolitical boundaries and fostering a more interconnected African continent
